After four days of rain, the day of the meet came up damp and chilly as well. Not your typical Washington D.C. area October weekend. This had a negative impact on attendance compared with last year. However, the rain held off for a couple hours right as the flea market got going and the hardy souls who braved the weather were treated to a lively, if brief, opportunity to barter. Even when the rain did start up it was no more than a steady drizzle which a few sellers persevered through for awhile. In contrast, the auction was large and lively and definately worth the trip. Due to the weather it was started a half hour early and the participation, as the pictures attest, was strong. Once again, the local Boy Scouts provided the food service to the mutual benefit of the troop as well as the radio collectors who were there to enjoy it.
